Jessie Elwell is your officiant, personal assistant and MC with over over 15 years experience as a professional actress, improviser, speaker and licensed officiant. She will get to know you make sure that everyone is on the same page and that you are having the time of your life, instead of worrying about the details of the day,
Chris Powell has provided the right vibe for over 400 Midwest weddings. He is a pianist/vocalist and has been performing live music since 2010. Chris will customize all the music for the entire day so it fits in with what you and your guests want. Would you like solo piano for the pre-ceremony, followed by your favorite song as you walk down the aisle, a classic rock style cocktail hour and a club DJ for the reception? What about live singing for your pre-ceremony to entertain your guests, solo piano versions of modern hits for your processional, an indie-focused cocktail hour and classic dueling pianos songs like Sweet Caroline or Piano Man to end your evening? These are just some examples. Chris can do it all and you can have whatever style, whenever you want it.
There's so much more and we would love to share ourselves with you. We take the time to meet with our couples to make sure that we are the right fit for them before booking and then continue meeting with them right up to the wedding day. Our Approach
For the ceremony, Jessie will work with you from Day One to help you craft your ideal atmosphere. Whether you're looking for something formal and traditional, or casual and modern, Jessie is ready to help present your love to those who love you most.
She takes pride in her ability to keep her ceremony attendees engaged throughout the entire proceeding!
Chris will help create that atmosphere through music, whether live or recorded. He has an extensive catalogue of hits that he can sing and play on piano, as well as solo piano songs for pre-ceremony music. Whether it's Chris singing your songs, or if it's a playlist of your curated favorites coming through the speakers, you're sure to have the feel you want as you come into the space! Vows and Vibes are also fully battery equipped for outdoor ceremonies.
For the reception, Chris can provide any kind of experience you desire. All of our packages include the option for live piano/singing entertainment, which is performed with backing tracks in order to provide a full band sound while maintaining a customizable volume level. This can be done for cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, or a combination of all three. Chris is also a fantastic DJ, and will keep your dinner mix smooth and your dance floor exciting from start to finish!
All of our packages include access to our lights, both for the dance floor, and atmospheric uplights for the room. Our dance floor lighting is dynamic and dramatic, with the ability to add laser effects (with photographer permission of course!) Our 10 uplights can be tuned to any bright color you choose to create accents around the room.
Most importantly, we also offer basic day-of coordination services so that you can relax and enjoy your hard work! Jessie will liaise with the other vendors to ensure that the venue, catering, photography, videography and any other event staff are all on the same page, as well as coordinate any musical moments throughout the reception. Whether on her own or assisting your wedding planner, Jessie is an excellent point person and an effective communicator and problem solver.
